I'm trying to figure out the best upgrade for Faceless Menace. ] is a land that ramps you, since you can play it as a face-down creature card (hopefully drawing you a card), and then morph it into a land. It's a good way to keep the card draw going if you run into a bad stretch in your deck with no morph cards. ] had initially spiked when Kadena was released, but it has come back down. Face-down creatures are considered to have no name, and as such, do not share a name with any other face-down creature - so they will trigger Guardian Project. ] works well since you are likely to already have a lot of morph creatures. The two most expensive upgrades were cards I just happen to already own. Kadena and Ghired were the two precons I got, and I've been trying to limit myself to mostly budget upgrades. specially kinky if paired to some way of recasting it/blinking it. Pretty cool card, since almost no one interacts with face down card. I'm a dumb dumb) Also, I'm pretty surprised no one has suggested you ] yet. This means that it hits the field 1 turn before when people are still setting stuff up and you can untap to keep it protected earlier. This is very important when your deck values its commander highly like yours and it costs 4 mana. You can also opt for artifact ramp with ], ], ], etc. Here are some suggestions (not all here are budget friendly) ], ] (specially good if your opponents use elves too), ], ], ], ]. Green have great options for this on a pretty low budget. I say this in almost every post here, but if you use 10-14 ramp ramp cards that costs 1-2 mana you'll feel a drastic difference on how fluid your deck feels to play. I will link my list and hopefully you can find some inspiration from it. I really like the morph mechanic and feel like it leaves a little mystery for our opponents and gives you the capability of "bluffing" that other mechanics just don't offer.

Kadena paired with other draw engines can get pretty nutty as you churn through your deck and almost always hold a full grip of cards. The strength comes from basically all of your creatures acting as cantrips. Kadena is a very controlling deck style with alot of resilience as it can often push out a surprisingly large boardstate very quickly. They are also a precursor to the eldrazi titans that follow them. They are kind of like mini eldrazi in the way I interpret the deck.

My deck focuses more on the colorless aspect of the morphs. My list is by no means budget, but over half of the cost is all in the landbase. I've been tuning my list for a while and would consider it quite powerful. Hi! Kadena is my favorite commander deck.
